Barbara Pflaumer moved to Los Angeles in 1994 from Philadelphia where she served for 13 years as the Deputy Manager of Marketing and Public Relations. She was the Head of Media and Public Affairs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). After three years she began her own public relations company with a colleague from the Getty Museum called Museums Without Walls. In 2007 she returned to LACMA as Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing. In 2012 she began a new venture as Editor in Chief of Foreground, a digital art magazine. Since August she has been serving as Interim VP of PR and Communications. She lives in Windsor Village.
