This holiday season the Greater Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce is pairing with Operation School Bell.
Operation School Bell’s goal this year is to dress 6,600 impoverished children in LAUSD. In addition to providing a week’s worth of new school clothing and sneakers, volunteers distribute hygiene kits (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush), a backpack, a dictionary, a book, and school supplies.
You may make a monetary contribution to OPERATION SCHOOL BELL here or bring supplies/clothing to donate.
Our goal is to help these children stay in school and succeed. School supplies are critical to this mission. Families of these children do not have the resources to provide school supplies particularly in multiple child family. These children go to school without basic supplies that every child needs and come home from school and lack the basic supplies to complete projects. Many teachers tell us they try to close the gap by purchasing supplies for their classrooms from their own pockets. We help fill this need. Our volunteers put together school supply packets that we distribute to the children geared to their level in school. We could really use your help in gathering the supplies to include in these school supply kits or providing us with monetary donations to purchase these items. You can also email for Operation School Bell at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions on what to bring.
